Quality and environmental protection belong together!

Active environmental protection is a building block for safeguarding the future of
our company and is part of today’s responsibility towards future generations
– both in the private and operational domain.

We see our company’s responsibility in protecting the environment, as well as the
health and safety of our staff. It is our aim to meet our social responsibility in all
the countries in which we operate. We take special care to ensure the safety of
our employees and our products.

The long-debated German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)
was passed on 23 March 2005. The act implements two European directives
in German law. Directive 2002/95/EC serves “to restrict the use of certain
materials in electrical and electronic equipment” and is abbreviated as “RoHS”
(Restriction of Hazardous Substances).

The second directive 2002/96/EC “on waste electrical and electronic equipment”
stipulates the requirements for the return and reuse of discarded equipment and
is often termed as the WEEE Directive. As part of its training and consultation
services, the external environmental consultancy company:

dr. haidn umweltberatung
Langäckerstr. 16
D 94133 Röhrnbach-Oberndorf

has advised and supported us with a detailed analysis on the application of the
Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act.

The following B2B substantiation has been developed as a result of this
consultation:

- Classification in the product category: Device Group Category 1 “Large household
appliances”, Device Type 3 “Large household appliances exclusively for
  commercial B2B use”.
- Our customers are skilled trade and industrial companies at home and abroad.
- We do not sell to private customers. - Our systems are, on the one hand,
stand-alone infrared heating systems used by our customers as production
heating systems to manufacture their products, and those used as heaters and
therefore components in complex production machines, such as lamination,
thermoform and printing ink drying equipment, on the other.
- The size and electrical power of the heating systems is another aspect for their
exclusively industrial application. Some customer-specific heaters may only
output a few kW, however, essential units and also ovens lie between 20 and
  350 kW electrical power.
- It is not permissible for our B2B devices to be delivered to the public waste
disposal authorities’ collection centre's for disposal free of charge. They must
be consigned to specialist companies for proper reuse or disposal.
- Within the meaning of ElectroG, infrared quartz spotlights or heating lamps
are not classified as gas discharge lamps (fluorescent lamps; compact
fluorescent lamps CFL-NI; energy saving lamps CFL-I or HID lamps) and
are therefore to be disposed of as “normal light bulbs”.

We also work without certification according to the ISO 14001 environmental certification directives.
